6 ounces spermaceti
4 ounces white wax
2 ounces glycerine
2 ounces almond oil
2 ounces rosewater
30 drops neroli oil
30 drops lemon oil
30 drops verbena oil [ed: this is an old term for lemongrass oil]
4 ounces extract of fresh strawberries [ed: made by infusion of the berries in alcohol]
Melt first four ingredients together in a double boiler. Beat together with egg beater. Add drop by drop the rosewater. Stir constantly while adding the neroli, lemon and verbena oils. Add concentrated extract of fresh strawberries last.
