Edwardian Recipe: Cream Shampoo


Shredded Fine White Soap - 1/2 ounce
Rose Water - 1 ounce
Solution of ammonia - 1 ounce
Alcohol or Bay Rum - 1/2 ounce
Rain-Water - 8 ounces

Heat the rain water and dissolve the soap in it. When nearly cool add the ammonia, rosewater and alcohol, stirring constantly.
